Fernhill in autumn: talks, the mill, and the year's dues
A busy autumn ahead
Welcome to the September newsletter. Three things this month.
The autumn programme
The season opens on 8 October with our archivist's talk on the old mill and its water — the first proper account of the weir since the 1974 survey. Members come free; guests are $4 on the door, which covers the hall and the tea.
Riverside working morning
We will be back on the path on 19 November, clearing the culvert and re-hanging the gate at the north end. Boots and gloves; the society brings tools, biscuits and a flask.
Dues 2026
The year's dues are $25.00, due on 1 June. If you have already paid, thank you — the reminder below only goes to those we have not recorded yet.
— Margaret Ellis, Chair
