Fernhill Civic Society
A members' society for the history, buildings and green spaces of the Fernhill district.
About the society
Who we are
The Fernhill Civic Society has looked after the district's buildings, footpaths and green spaces since 1968. We are a members' society: everything we do is paid for by the year's dues and done by volunteers.
What we do
- A monthly talk in the parish hall, September to May
- Two working mornings a year on the riverside path, with tools and tea provided
- A watching brief on planning applications that affect the conservation area
- The newsletter, which goes to every member and is archived on this site
The committee
Elected each November at the AGM. Minutes are available to members on request.
